A place for every journey

At International Primary School Groningen, we aim to be a welcoming, inclusive school at the heart of a diverse, international community. Our families come from many different places and backgrounds, bringing with them rich experiences that shape our learning environment in unique ways.

We value these differences and guide pupils in making meaningful connections between their own cultures and life in the Netherlands. Our learning approach - based on the English National Curriculum - is flexible and responsive, helping children thrive in English while preparing them for future learning in the Netherlands or abroad.

We believe education should prepare children to build thoughtful relationships, engage with the world around them, and approach challenges with curiosity, respect, and open-mindedness. We encourage our pupils to reflect on how their actions affect others and to imagine how they can help create a fairer, more sustainable future where care, cooperation and awareness of others guide the way forward.
